After joining Wuhan University, Prof. Yao has established the WHU-CVRS Lab, which now consists of four advisors, one postdoctoral fellows, 30 PhDs and master students. Prof. Yao has chaired a series of research projects at national and provincial levels, including national key research programs, programs of the 973 Project, and the National Natural Science Fund. Meanwhile, in collaboration with well-known enterprises like Tencent, Huawei and Alibaba, he has initiated a range of joint research programs and talent training projects.

En Zhu is a professor and doctoral supervisor of National University of Defense Technology and Chairman of the Committee of National University of Defense Technology. His research interests are artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, algorithms, and computer vision. Now he is the Secretary General of CCF Theoretical Computer Science Committee, member of CCF Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition Committee, member of China Artificial Intelligence Society Pattern Recognition Committee, and executive director of Hunan Computer Society. His doctoral dissertation was awarded one of the 100 outstanding doctoral dissertations in China. He has published more than 100 papers in IEEE TCSVT, Pattern Recognition and other academic journals and conferences, served as a member of the program committee or session chair of many international conferences, and invited reviewers for many international journals and conferences such as IEEE TSMC Part A. He has been invited to review papers for many international journals and conferences such as IEEE TSMC Part A.

Yong Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Central South University, director of the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Intelligent Control, and the head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence. He is a Young Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education,  Highly Cited Scholar in Global Computer Science, a Marie Curie Scholar of the European Union, and a rotating director of the Hunan System Simulation Society. He is mainly engaged in research on artificial intelligence and its applications. He has presided over 4 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), more than 10 provincial and corporate projects, and published/accepted 50 papers in international journals as first author/corresponding author (32 papers in IEEE Transactions, 22 papers with SCI impact factor >11.0). The published papers have been cited more than 2500 times by SCI and more than 5400 times by Google Scholar. He received the Second Prize of Natural Science of Hunan Province and the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. Now he is an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation (SCI Impact Factor 11.169) and Swarm and Evolutionary Computation (SCI Impact Factor 6.912).

张文安
Wenan Zhang is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Information Engineering of Zhejiang University of Technology. He visited Central Queensland University in Australia and engaged in post-doctoral research at City University of Hong Kong. As a visiting scholar, he went to Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong University, and Griffith University in Australia. His main research focuses on multi-sensor information fusion estimation, autonomous navigation of intelligent mobile robots and networked motion control. In 2016, he was awarded the Young Scholar of the "Changjiang Scholars Award Program" by the Ministry of Education, and was awarded the Excellent Youth Science Fund project in 2018.

Philippe Fournier-Viger
Philippe Fournier-Viger (Ph.D.) is a Canadian researcher, full professor at the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), China. Five years after completing his Ph.D., he came to China and became a full professor at the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), after obtaining a title of national talent from the National Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 280 research papers in refereed international conferences and journals, which have received more than 5800 citations. He is also associate editor-in-chief of the Applied Intelligence journal (Springer, SCI, Q2). He is the founder of the popular SPMF open-source data mining library, which provides more than 170 algorithms for identifying various types of patterns in data. The SPMF software has been used in more than 800 papers since 2010 for many applications from chemistry, smartphone usage analysis restaurant recommendations to malware detection. He is editor of the book “High Utility Pattern Mining: Theory, Algorithms and Applications” published by Springer in 2019, and co-organizer of the Utility Driven Mining and Learning workshop at KDD 2018, ICDM 2019, and ICDM 2020. His research interests include data mining, frequent pattern mining, sequence analysis and prediction, big data, and applications.

Oluwarotimi Williams SAMUEL

Oluwarotimi Williams Samuel is currently a Professor with the Center for Neural Engineering, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing courtesy of the CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship Award. As principal investigator, he did receive several scientific research funding awards including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Outstanding Youth Innovation Research Fund of SIAT-CAS, Foundation for the Support of Science and Technology, and others as co-investigator. He received the 2020 Merit award of SIAT-CAS, 2019 IEEE Outstanding Young Investigator Research Visit award to Sapienza University, 2019 CAS President's International Fellowship Initiative award, Best Academic Paper awards (IEEE-ICCC’2019, IEEE-ICBHI’2015, & GHI’2015), 2018 Outstanding Young Researcher, Distinguished Ph.D. Dissertation, Outstanding Graduate Student, Excellent Foreign Student, and Excellent International Graduate awards among others. His research interest includes: Human-computer interaction, Rehabilitation robotics, Biomedical signal processing, Health informatics, Applied machine intelligence, Predictive analytics, and Explainable AI. He is the author/co-author of more than 100 articles in published in reputable journals and conference proceedings with over 1600 citations (h-Index: 22 and i10-index: 32) on Google Scholar. He is a member of the organizing committee of international conferences including the 2018 IEEE-CBS, 2020 IEEE MetroInd4.0&IoT, and 2021 IEEE MetroInd4.0&IoT, 1st African Symposium & 4th–TYAN Workshop, as well as the 2nd African Symposium & 6th–TYAN Workshop on Big Data, Analytics and Machine intelligence. He is also a professional member of IEEE & ACM, an editorial board member of the Frontiers in NeuroRobotics Journal, and a reviewer for IEEE-(TBME, TNRST, TII, and JBHI), AIIM-Elsevier, BSPC-Elsevier, CAEE-Elsevier, and other peer-review international journals.
